As the Technical Director of Multitech Consultancy & Business Services (Pty) Ltd. t/a MC Hides And Skins, I am committed to positioning our organisation as a cornerstone of Botswana’s economic growth and social development.
Our vision extends beyond producing high-quality leather products to fostering a thriving ecosystem that empowers our communities in different parts of Botswana. We aim to create substantial employment opportunities, with a particular focus on youth and women, especially within our Lobatse-based Tannery .
By collaborating with youth at Tertiary level local Universities, we will establish comprehensive training programs, covering the entire leather value chain, from raw hides to finished products. Our goal is to nurture young, ambitious minds and equip them with the skills necessary to excel in the leather industry.
Leveraging our international experience, we will mentor and guide the next generation of industry leaders. By operating within the Special Economic Zone, we will contribute to Botswana's economic diversification and attract foreign investment. Our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices will ensure that MC Hides and Skins remains a respected and responsible corporate that is also 100 % citizen owned organisation .
Through innovation, community engagement, and a skilled workforce, we will solidify our position as a global leader in the leather industry while making a lasting positive impact on Botswana and a greatly realised revenue back to the Government of Botswana mostly when we start the exporting of the finished products after our fully fletched set up of the state of art latest technology of the Tannery that will do Cow Wet Blue leather and the Setup of the Gelatine Plant being in place to process the finishing of the by-products for export as well.
